Ministries: Quilting

The Quilting Ministry of Augsburg Lutheran Church has been meeting to cut, sew and tie quilts in the Youth Fellowship Hall since January of 2001.

Augsburg quilts provide comfort and warmth to individuals, agencies, group homes and fund-raising efforts.

Donations of fabric and supplies support this vital ministry. Financial gifts from Women of the ELCA groups as well as generous church members have enabled the purchase of batting, crochet cotton and needles, the only expenses. More recently, memorial gifts have been directed to the Quilt Ministry enabling them to have a financial reserve.

You are welcome to join the Augsburg Quilting Ministry any or all Thursday mornings from 10 AM until 12 noon. There is a job for everyone, no sewing experience is necessary. If you would like to sew, but can't join the Quilters during the week, there are packaged kits available for the tops.
