About: Committees: Property
With over 30,000 square feet of space, Augsburg has a Property Committee of volunteer members who oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Church, both interior and exterior.
Augsburg Lutheran Church has wonderful architectural facilities that date back to 1927, when it built its Sanctuary along with a Fellowship Hall and several Sunday School Classrooms. It added the Education Wing in 1957, which includes Classrooms, Office Space, and Choir Rooms. In 2000, Augsburg completed a renovation to its existing facilities along with adding a much needed Family Life Center. Today, Augsburg’s Facilities and Property serve many needs for the Augsburg members as well as the needs of other organizations and individuals in the community.

Property Features:
- Approximately 4000 square feet Sanctuary with over 450 seating capacity.
- A 1200+ square feet Gathering Room along with 2 Multi-Purpose Lounges.
- Over 4100 square feet Family Life Center which includes a 600 square feet Stage with multiple lighting features, approximately 865 square feet full-service Kitchen, a multi-purpose court for Basketball and Volleyball, and tables and chairs to support both small and large group functions.
- 1200 + square feet Youth Activity Room which includes a small Kitchenette and two 500+ square feet Classrooms for Junior and Senior High Youth.
- Over 7000 square feet of Classroom space including 6 Adult Classrooms, 11+ K-6 Classrooms, and an Infant and Toddler Nursery.
- A 600+ square feet Youth Choir Room and a 900+ square feet Adult Choir Room, with two Adult Robing Rooms.
- A covered drive-up entrance for the physically challenged.
- An Elevator
- A Medical Loan Closet that houses various Medical Equipment Supplies for members and others in the community
- A Library and archives.
- Over 3000 square feet of space which includes Offices and Meeting Space for the Augsburg Staff, Volunteers, and Council Members.
- A beautifully landscaped Columbarium Courtyard
Additional facilities and properties that Augsburg owns and shares with local community organizations are the Augsburg Community Center (located directly behind the Church), the Troutman House, 823 West Fifth Street and the 851 West Fifth Street Property (located on the west side adjacent to the Church).
