About: Committees: Finance
The primary mission of the finance committee as outlined in the Bylaws is to prepare a draft budget for the Congregational Council’s approval and adoption by the congregation at its annual meeting. Additionally, the committee, via the Church Treasurer, reports monthly to the Congregational Council regarding the financial position of the Church in relation to the approved budget, and serves as an advisor to the Council and other committees on financial matters. The Finance committee is responsible for the Congregation’s investments and its insurance programs. It is also responsible for providing for the annual audit of the accounts of the congregation.
