Senior Pastor

The Reverend Dr. Ronald A. Rinn is Senior Pastor at Augsburg, where he has served since 1989. He is a native Texan and a graduate of Texas Lutheran College (now University) and earned master's and doctoral degrees from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. He and his wife, Cinde, have two grown daughters. Pastor Rinn preaches and teaches Bible studies and new member and confirmation classes. He serves on the North Carolina Synod's Candidacy Committee and played a leading role in the implementation of the Lutheran-Moravian agreement, "Following Our Shepherd To Full Communion." Pastor Rinn considers his administrative duties to be an integral part of his ministry. In 1 Corinthians 12:28, Paul includes leadership as one of the gifts of the Spirit. Pastor Rinn's gift for leadership helps others do the ministry they are called to do.
